The three of us met on the Node-RED forum whilst helping each other and other people sort out their coding problems.

As time went by we discovered we had similar interests especially video capture and building home security systems using Node-RED.

During the Covid pandemic our friendship grew and we ended-up collaborating to develop a Home Surveillance System (HSS).

Hi,
I’m David, a retired microelectronics/computing lecturer living in the United Kingdom.

Having fun discovering ESP-8266 devices like the Wemos D1 mini and Node-RED running on Raspberry Pi. Gradually converting my house into a SMART home.

I tutor an after school club - Internet of Things (IoT) two afternoons a week at a local secondary school.

I’m pretty active on the Node-RED forum and look forward to maybe meeting you there.

Hi,
I’m Paul, I live near Boston, USA.

I started out as a programmer, moved to become a system programmer and ended up doing tech support for a large database company for many years and finally became a stay at home Dad while my kids were in high school.

I'm currently a 'mostly' full time grandfather to 7 delightful kids and in my spare time I'm making different projects with ESP-8266 devices and Raspberry Pi's and various attachments.

Oh and I'm also one of the moderators on the Node-RED forum so I'll probably see you there!

Hi,
I’m Walter, I live near Stockholm in Sweden.

I’m a semi-retired head of R&D and global product manager with extensive international experience, still working as a consultant in the field of IoT, helping companies finding the best way forward for new business opportunities and better customer services

For a long time I’ve had a passion in programming; from C++, Python and now JavaScript as a natural step when using Node-RED. Participating in a team together with David & Paul is such an exciting experience. We are physically remotely located but in mind & heart, so very close, sharing ideas, discussing various solutions. With digital meetings, this possibility is now reality, distance does not stop great collaboration!!
