Overview

As you’ve probably discovered, by moving your mouse around the Home page, the HSS dashboard consists of:

* Four monitors and one main display area

* Various buttons

HSS provides you with the ability to monitor five sources at the same time. These sources can be mixture of streams from live cameras either locally on your network or at a remote location. You can also show linked-media in any of the five monitors.

The first button, labelled ‘Presets’ will select a set of preset camera streams to show on the four monitors and main display area.

The next button labelled ‘Tour’ enables you to tour around a list of camera streams that have been predefined.
The sequence will step-on according to a predefined value (seconds) unless you click the ‘Next’ button which will advance the sequence without waiting for the timeout to be completed.

The next button labelled ‘Record’ will record 5-seconds (or a predefined amount of time) of the stream currently being shown in the main display area. This feature will only work for a live stream.

The action of the button labelled ‘< Go back’ is associated with the ‘Show snapshots’, ‘Show recordings’ or ‘Show motion detections’ in the drop-down menu in the main display area. If you use one of these drop-down options to view items in a certain day-date folder, then the ‘<Go back’ button can be used to get back to the Home or top level of the directory structure.

The next three buttons, labelled ‘Snapshot’, ‘Telegram’ and ‘Email’ will send a snapshot of the main display area to the selected destination.
